About this event

The Arbeitsgemeinschaft Historische Eisenbahn runs the Almetalbahn museum railway from the Museumsbahnhof Almstedt-Segeste in Lower Saxony. Its Nikolausfahrten use a decorated and lit museum train.

The train leaves Almstedt-Segeste for the Segeste grill area and returns afterwards. At the grill area Saint Nicholas gives each child a small gift and, on request, speaks to every child individually. All participants get free fresh waffles and cold or hot drinks on board.

The trip lasts about two hours and is pulled by a diesel locomotive. A reservation is required, made through the operator's booking portal.
