About this event

Aspen Crossing, a railway and rural destination near Mossleigh in southern Alberta, runs the Train of Terror, which the operator bills as Canada's only moving haunted house. It is an 18+ event.

The evening begins at check-in at the train station. Guests journey through three mazes, each terrifying and unique in its own way. Those who escape are invited onto the moving train, where they can buy a drink before the final creepy maze. The operator says the experience is approximately 2 hours and includes three maze haunts and a 1.5-hour train ride, with spaces for visiting with friends and drinks and food for purchase.

The operator is blunt about the intensity: its performers are allowed to touch, grab, follow and perhaps even take guests through any part of the experience. Obstacles inside and outside require stepping over, climbing over, sliding down and crawling through, and a signed waiver is mandatory before entry.

About two hours: three maze haunts, then a 1.5-hour ride on a moving train with a final maze, and spaces to visit with friends. Performers may touch, grab and follow guests, and there are obstacles to climb, slide and crawl through. 18 and over only.
