Railway Live Cams Around the World

Watch trains in real time, twenty-four hours a day. Spotatrain curates the most interesting publicly available railway webcams — Class I diamonds, mountain grades, heritage station throats, and metro tunnels — so you can drop in on a railroad anywhere in the world without leaving your desk.

A good railway webcam is the closest thing trainspotters have to teleportation. A camera pointed at the right diamond, the right pass, or the right station throat can give you the same rhythm of horns, headlights, and steel that a real lineside trip would — only it never sleeps and it does not care about the weather. The cams below are streams we check ourselves: feeds that have been online for years, that are run either by railfan collectives, official tourism boards, or rail operators who are happy to broadcast their traffic to the public.

Each cam page lists what railroad you are watching, the kind of trains you can expect to see, the best times of day for activity, and any quirks — whether the audio is hot, when scheduled passenger trains pass, and whether the operator occasionally rotates the angle. Wherever the host has its own railfan-friendly chat or scanner audio, we link straight through. The aim is not to mirror or rebroadcast: we always send you to the source. Spotatrain is the index, the curators are the people running the cams.
