Saint Paul, Minnesota — Division Street Wye

The Division Street Wye is a rail junction in downtown Saint Paul, just east of Union Depot. Union Depot describes it as part of "a dense, rail-rich area which each day carries up to 10,000 freight rail cars, or 5% of the nation's freight volume" — the operator's own figure, not a count measured at this camera.

This is the second of Union Depot's two train cams. The operator states that it "faces southeast and is mounted adjacent to the Rail View Picnic Area", a landscaped space at the far eastern edge of Union Depot's Lot D with six picnic tables covered by pergolas. Union Depot says the view shows trains moving through the area, including Amtrak's Borealis.

The picnic area is reachable on foot or by bike — from the sidewalk on the south side of Kellogg Boulevard, or the bike/pedestrian path connecting at Sibley Street and Kellogg Boulevard — with parking in Union Depot Lot D, east of the Lafayette Bridge.
