About this cam
A camera mounted on a preserved steam boiler at The Northern Pacific Center in Brainerd, Minnesota — site of the former Northern Pacific Railroad shops on BNSF's Brainerd Subdivision, Milepost 118. At the September 20, 2026 capture the frame showed the Center's parking lot and historic brick shop buildings; no track was visible in that particular view.
This camera is mounted on a preserved steam boiler that once powered Brainerd and the Northern Pacific Railroad's shop buildings, now part of The Northern Pacific Center — a redeveloped former Northern Pacific shop and yard complex offering office space and event venues on BNSF's Brainerd Subdivision at Milepost 118.
It is sponsored by the Center and streamed alongside a second, separate Steel Highway camera at the same site (the "Rail Cam") on the Northern Transcon Railcams network. ⚠️ Unlike the Rail Cam, this camera's captured frames on both 2026-09-19 and 2026-09-20 showed the Center's parking area and historic buildings rather than an open rail line — see notes.
