The operator describes the location as filming BNSF's Chillicothe Subdivision — part of the Southern Transcon — where it crosses the Mississippi on the historic 1927 Fort Madison Swing Bridge, alongside BNSF's Hannibal Subdivision (the "K-Line") linking Burlington, Iowa, and St. Louis, Missouri. Union Pacific holds trackage rights over the corridor, and Amtrak's Southwest Chief calls daily at the nearby historic Fort Madison Depot.
