Toyama Station — South Exit Tram Entrance

Toyama Station, the gateway to Toyama City on Japan's west coast, is known for a layout unusual in Japan: trams run directly beneath its elevated station building. Since a north-south tram link was completed in March 2020, Toyama City Tram services run through-service with the Toyamakō Line light rail (the former Toyama Light Rail, nicknamed "Portram"), passing under the station's glass facade — designed to evoke the nearby Tateyama mountain range — before continuing on the far side.

This camera, operated by the regional broadcaster Tulip TV, looks across the station's south-exit plaza and its tram loop, showing current weather, street activity and the trams being "swallowed" by the station building. The same YouTube video has been live continuously since February 25, 2025, well past the operator's own claim of round-the-clock coverage.
