Kanazawa Station — Hokuriku Shinkansen

Hokuriku Asahi Broadcasting (HAB), a regional television station, presents this webcam of Kanazawa Station free of charge. The operator states the camera faces from the Toyama side toward JR West's Hakusan rolling-stock depot, with the Hokuriku Shinkansen platforms on the left of frame and the older JR West and IR Ishikawa Railway conventional platforms on the right. The glass dome visible on the left is the station's Motenashi Dome landmark.

The operator's description also gives the Hokuriku Shinkansen's own facts: the line opened on March 14, 2015, connects Tokyo and Kanazawa, runs at a maximum speed of 260 km/h, and covers the route in about two hours thirty minutes.

Kanazawa Station sits where the elevated Shinkansen platforms and the conventional-line platforms run side by side, giving the camera a wide view of both Hokuriku Shinkansen and IR Ishikawa Railway movements from a single fixed position.
