FBC, Fukui Prefecture's joint radio-and-television broadcaster, runs this rooftop information camera over central Fukui City, framing JR Fukui Station and its surrounding blocks. The station is a three-way railway junction: the Hokuriku Shinkansen (extended from Kanazawa to Tsuruga in March 2024), Hapilaine Fukui — the third-sector successor that took over the conventional JR Hokuriku Main Line through Fukui after the shinkansen extension — and the privately run Echizen Railway all meet here.

The operator states the feed may be interrupted without notice for weather (rain or snow fouling the lens) or equipment maintenance.

What to watch for
