RailStream's own camera lineup describes the vantage point directly: B-12 Tower "catches CP, IHB and Metra" — CPKC (Canadian Pacific Kansas City) freight, Indiana Harbor Belt freight, and Metra commuter trains all pass within view of the two cameras mounted here.

The east-facing camera looks toward a playground and a brick building on the north side of the tracks, with Franklin Park's water tower visible in the distance to the east-southeast.
