About this cam
This is a Caltrans highway camera, not a railfan camera: it watches northbound SR 99 at Clinton Avenue in Fresno. A large rail yard with strings of freight cars and several tracks fills the right side of the frame beyond the freeway ramps.
Caltrans, California's transport department, streams this traffic camera titled "NB 99 at Clinton Ave" (listed as FRE-99-AT CLINTON AVE) from its public camera network. It looks north along SR 99 in Fresno; on the right, beyond the freeway ramps and a retaining wall, several tracks and long strings of freight cars make up a rail yard.
Because the camera is there for traffic, trains are incidental and the view may move if Caltrans adjusts the camera. Caltrans does not name the railroad in view.
What to watch for
