About this cam

This fixed camera in Ōno-machi, Tokoname, looks along the two ballasted tracks of the Meitetsu Tokoname Line from a few metres away, with overhead wire, a fence and a pink two-storey building on the right. It is a different channel and a different view from the level-crossing camera already listed for Ōno-machi. It belongs to a network of neighbourhood cameras run by a live-camera installation company (livecamera24), with one YouTube channel per camera.

The channel, which carries the line's name in its address (名鉄常滑線ライブ, 'Meitetsu Tokoname Line live'), describes the stream as a fixed-point live camera in Ōno-machi, Tokoname, offered to check local traffic, weather and the look of the town. The channel says the picture is deliberately streamed at reduced resolution for privacy, and that the stream can pause for a few hours after a system or network problem.

The frame looks straight along two tracks of the Nagoya Railroad (Meitetsu) line, with orange marks painted on the sleepers, equipment boxes and a signal beside the ballast, a numbered plate on a pole at the left and a pink building behind a fence on the right. A frame from the same stream earlier the same day caught a red-fronted Meitetsu electric train approaching on the left-hand track.

What to watch for

Red-fronted Meitetsu electric trains running close to the camera on the two tracks of the Tokoname Line, in both directions.
