About this cam

Starcat, the Nagoya cable-TV operator, streams the west side of Nagoya Station from the Ido Nagoya Building on Taiko-dori. The Tokaido Shinkansen platforms run along the bottom left of the frame, with the conventional-line tracks beyond them and the station towers on the skyline.

Starcat presents this camera as a view of the Tokaido Shinkansen (westbound) arriving at and passing through Nagoya Station, installed at the Ido Nagoya Building (井門名古屋ビル) beside the Taiko-dori (west) exit. It advises viewers to check JR Central's own information for actual operations.

From its height the camera looks along the Shinkansen platforms, where long white trainsets stand at the platform edge, and across the wide spread of conventional tracks towards the towers of the east side. The west-exit bus terminal and Taiko-dori avenue fill the right of the picture.

This is Starcat's second Nagoya Station camera; the first, listed separately, looks at the station from another angle.

What to watch for

Tokaido Shinkansen trainsets (N700S and N700A) stopping at or running through Nagoya's Shinkansen platforms, plus conventional JR trains on the tracks beyond.
