About this cam

A camera at the Museu de Paleontologia de Fernandópolis, in the interior of São Paulo state, watches the tracks beside the town's former railway station building, which the museum has occupied since December 2024.

The Museu de Paleontologia de Fernandópolis opened on 19 December 2024 inside the town's former railway station building, a partnership between the municipality, the Universidade Federal de Brasília, the Instituto Federal and the Fundação Educacional de Fernandópolis. The museum displays more than 180 fossils collected across Brazil, including a complete specimen the museum calls "Baurussuquideo," estimated at 80 million years old and found in Fernandópolis's rural area.

According to the museum's own description, the railway reached Fernandópolis at the end of 1949, when the station was inaugurated — the town itself had been founded a decade earlier, in 1939. The camera is stationed at the museum, at Rua João Gosselein, 1470, Bairro Santa Rosa, and streams the tracks beside the old station building.

What to watch for

The former station building itself, and the tracks running beside it. Whatever freight or maintenance movement passes is incidental to the museum's own fossil exhibits; the broadcaster does not publish a train schedule.
