About this cam

A camera on a short stretch of Singapore Mass Rapid Transit track. The operator notes that SMRT is what other countries would call a subway or metro.

RailCam Singapore streams a continuous view of a short stretch of elevated track on the North South Line of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit (SMRT) network, in Woodlands. In the operator's own words, the North South Line is 45 km long and runs from Jurong East to Marina Bay Cruise Centre; in this view, a train moving to the left is City-bound, ending at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Station, while a train moving to the right is heading to the heartland, ending at Jurong East Station.

The operator states that train service runs from 5:30 am to midnight Singapore time, and that a service train can sometimes still be seen on the line after midnight.

The soundtrack is not the line's own ambient sound: the channel credits a rotation of licensed instrumental tracks (piano and cinematic pieces attributed to Infraction) laid over the video, which the operator lists in full in the stream's own description.
