"In partnership with EarthCam, the National Park Service is excited to offer this webcam view of our Roundhouse and Turntable complex" at Steamtown National Historic Site, built on the former Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad yard in downtown Scranton, Pennsylvania. Turntables like this one were used throughout the steam era to rotate locomotives onto the roundhouse's maintenance bays and back onto the line for service.

The park is open daily; during the 2026 season the site's short excursion, the Scranton Limited, runs Saturdays and Sundays beginning May 3 (departures 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.), and Baldwin Locomotive Works No. 26 — a 1929-built steam locomotive nicknamed "Rover" — has powered steam excursions during special park events such as Railfest.

What to watch for
