Chattanooga, Tennessee — Audubon Acres Bird Sanctuary

This Rail Moments camera looks down on a bend of CSX's W&A Subdivision (the Nashville-to-Atlanta line through Chattanooga) as it runs through Audubon Acres, a wooded bird sanctuary on the city's east side, close to milepost 122.8. The operator describes the area as semi-rural with no lights at night, and asks viewers to watch for wildlife alongside the trains: turkeys, whitetail deer, red-tailed hawks and turkey vultures are frequent visitors.

A scanner panel accompanies the picture, tuned to a list of CSX and Norfolk Southern Chattanooga-area dispatch and yard frequencies. This is a separate camera from Rail Moments' other, non-fixed "Next Railroad Crossing" stream, and from the two other Chattanooga-area cameras already on Spotatrain (Virtual Railfan's camera at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, and Iron Rail Cams' four-panel Chattanooga Sub montage) — this one is the only camera of the three actually inside the Audubon Acres sanctuary.
