About this event

The Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee, stages Haints and Haunts as an evening of ghost stories, Appalachian folklore and haunted history, presented with T&M Investigations. Guests board a historic train at dusk for a ride through Missionary Ridge on which storytellers share local legends and ghostly encounters.

The evening goes on after the train returns: a haunted hayride with more stories, then a bonfire gathering with yard games in the village. The operator lists live ghost-hunting demonstrations, a turntable demonstration at the East Chattanooga depot, and s'mores kits as an add-on at booking.

Because of its spooky themes, ghost stories and supernatural equipment, the operator recommends the experience for ages 13 and older.

What to expect

A haunted train ride of about 45 minutes with live storytelling, a turntable demonstration and a stop at the depot in East Chattanooga, then a haunted hayride of about 10 minutes and a bonfire gathering of 30 to 45 minutes with yard games. Seasonal concessions are sold on site and s'mores kits can be added when booking.
