About this event

The Fox River Trolley Museum in South Elgin, Illinois, runs the Ghost Story Train as a family-friendly evening of frights. Riders take a spooky trolley down to the haunted forest preserve to listen to chilling ghost stories around a roaring campfire, with monstrously good treats whipped up by Margie's Girls' Kitchen. A ghostly musician leads campfire songs.

At the Blackhawk stations guests choose between hearing ghost stories around the campfire with s'more making, or a more adult-oriented haunted tour of the graves in the forest preserve. The operator says the event is family friendly and suitable for all ages, and costumes are welcome.
