About this cam
A second ProRail construction webcam over the same Oostertoegang bridge-replacement worksite east of Amsterdam Centraal, framed from a wider vantage over the station's eastern track fan-out. Part of the same "De Vijf Bruggen" programme as Camera 1.
This is the companion feed to "De Vijf Bruggen" Camera 1, run by ProRail over the same worksite: the replacement of the five railway bridges (Oostertoegangsspoorbrug) carrying ten tracks over the Oostertoegang waterway on the east side of Amsterdam Centraal. The two cameras cover the site from different angles so the whole span of works — the bridge decks, the barge deliveries and the adjoining track throat — can be followed.
The work is part of ProRail's national Programma Hoogfrequent Spoorvervoer (PHS), a multi-billion-euro programme to raise train frequency on the busiest Dutch lines, and is officially tracked by the Dutch government as one of its "megaprojecten" (Rijksbegroting, Artikel 17).
