Oxenhope, West Yorkshire — the KWVR's southern terminus and its Exhibition Shed

Oxenhope is the southern terminus of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (KWVR), four and three-quarter miles from Keighley at the other end of the five-mile heritage line. British Railways ran the station down before withdrawing entirely: it became unstaffed in 1955, and by the line's 1961 closure only a single coal siding remained. The original goods shed from that era still adjoins today's platform.

Since the railway's preservation, Oxenhope has grown into the KWVR's working and exhibition hub. In 1971 volunteers extended the head-shunt so two locomotives can run around their train together, and a shed built in 1970 beside the platform — first intended for running locomotives — now houses the carriage restoration programme. A separate three-track building, the former "Green Shed", is now the free-to-enter Exhibition Shed, storing long-term out-of-service locomotives and historic coaches. A buffet car bought in 1982 still stands between the goods shed and the station building, and a children's playground was added to the picnic area in 2019.
