Keighley — Keighley & Worth Valley Railway

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (KWVR) is a five-mile heritage line running from Keighley to Oxenhope through the Worth Valley in West Yorkshire, with six stations along the route: Keighley, Ingrow West, Damems, Oakworth, Haworth and Oxenhope. The Preservation Society reopened the branch in June 1968, weeks before steam finally ended on British Railways — and the line has since become a well-known filming location, doubling for the 1970 adaptation of The Railway Children, as well as Testament of Youth, Swallows & Amazons and the TV series Peaky Blinders.

This Railcam UK camera looks toward Keighley signal box and the south end of Keighley station, and automatically pans toward Ingrow West as a train approaches — one of nine Railcam UK cameras placed along the KWVR lineside (a tenth, at Keighley North, is reserved for Railcam UK subscribers).

KWVR runs scheduled steam train services every weekend of the year, and daily through the summer, alongside occasional locomotive galas, Santa Steam Specials, dining trains and its annual Beer & Music Festival each October.

Heritage steam locomotives arriving and departing the south end of Keighley station, movements at the signal box, and the camera's own automatic pan toward Ingrow West as a train approaches — the tell that one is due. KWVR's services are steam-hauled and run to a weekend-year-round, daily-in-summer schedule, so midweek periods outside summer will show less movement.
