About this cam
The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (KWVR) is a five-mile heritage line running from Keighley to Oxenhope through the Worth Valley in West Yorkshire, with six stations: Keighley, Ingrow West, Damems, Oakworth, Haworth and Oxenhope. The Preservation Society reopened the branch in June 1968, weeks before steam finally ended on British Railways.
This Railcam UK camera — one of two at Haworth, described by the operator as "Haworth South" — is located just south of Haworth station and the railway's main locomotive maintenance base, looking down the line toward Oxenhope.
KWVR runs scheduled steam train services every weekend of the year, and daily through the summer, alongside occasional locomotive galas, Santa Steam Specials, dining trains and its annual Beer & Music Festival each October.
What to watch for
Steam locomotives coming off or heading toward the KWVR's main loco maintenance base just to camera-north, and scheduled services running the short stretch toward Oxenhope. Because this is the working end of the line near the shed, light-engine and shunting movements can appear alongside timetabled passenger trains.
Best viewing times
Weekends year-round, and daily through the summer season, when the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway runs its scheduled steam services (operator's own schedule, kwvr.co.uk).
