Oakworth Station — Keighley & Worth Valley Railway

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway (KWVR) is a five-mile heritage line running from Keighley to Oxenhope through the Worth Valley in West Yorkshire, with six stations: Keighley, Ingrow West, Damems, Oakworth, Haworth and Oxenhope. The Preservation Society reopened the branch in June 1968, weeks before steam finally ended on British Railways.

Oakworth is, in the operator's own words, "the home of the original Railway Children films from 1970 and 2022" — the station's period buildings, footbridge and nameboards have appeared on screen in both adaptations. This Railcam UK camera watches the station itself, one of nine Railcam UK cameras placed along the KWVR lineside.

KWVR runs scheduled steam train services every weekend of the year, and daily through the summer, alongside occasional locomotive galas, Santa Steam Specials, dining trains and its annual Beer & Music Festival each October.

Steam trains calling at Oakworth's period station buildings, largely unchanged from their appearance in The Railway Children films. KWVR's services are steam-hauled and run to a weekend-year-round, daily-in-summer schedule, so expect the most activity on summer days and weekends.
