About this event

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway in West Yorkshire runs The Spooky Express around Halloween. The operator describes a frightfully fun journey that begins at Oxenhope Station, where a haunted engine shed is home to a few mysterious characters.

Guests join a live Spooky Show packed with singing, performances and Halloween fun before boarding The Spooky Express, a train in specially decorated carriages along the Worth Valley. Fancy dress is very much encouraged and a costume competition offers prizes.

The ticket includes a Day Rover, so on the day of the booking passengers can travel the line as often as they like and visit the museums before or after their allocated Spooky Express. The operator warns there will be some jump scares, and does not allow dogs on the experience.

What to expect

Entry to the Haunted Engine Shed at Oxenhope, a live Spooky Show before the train, an allocated journey aboard The Spooky Express, Halloween decorations and characters throughout, and a fancy dress competition. The operator warns there will be some jump scares.
