About this event

The Kent & East Sussex Railway runs Fright Night as an evening outing from Tenterden Town Station in Kent. The train sets off after dark and rattles through the countryside with the carriage lights glowing softly, for the easily spooked, before arriving at Northiam station.

The operator promises drummers and a fire eater, a dazzling firework display at Northiam and a spooky-themed munch bag for each child for the journey. Families are invited to dress in their scariest finery. Before boarding there are free Halloween themed children's activities, including spooky face painting, and the Tenterden Station Tea Room serves hot food and drinks.

The operator describes the experience as particularly popular with families with children aged 6 to 11, although adults and older children are just as welcome.
