Sheffield Park, East Sussex — Bluebell Railway, South End

Sheffield Park is the southern terminus of the Bluebell Railway and, as the operator puts it, "The Headquarters of the Railway" — the locomotive sheds, the carriage works and the running-shed yard are all here, which is why the station is busier with light engine movements than any other on the line.

The Bluebell was the first standard-gauge preserved passenger railway in the world to run a public service, and now runs eleven miles north from Sheffield Park through Horsted Keynes and Kingscote to East Grinstead, where it meets the national network.
