This camera looks along Union Pacific's Roseville Subdivision at the summit of Donner Pass, at East Norden, milepost 193. Just out of view to the east is the western entrance of Tunnel 41, known as "The Big Hole," which runs for 10,325 feet through the ridge.
Trains approaching from the left are westbound, descending toward Truckee and Roseville; trains from the right are eastbound, climbing toward the summit and Nevada. The camera's operator notes the site is remote and can suffer from slow bandwidth, and that a black screen usually means the unit is resetting rather than truly offline.

What to watch for
Westbound trains descending toward Truckee arrive from the left, eastbound trains climbing toward the summit arrive from the right; watch for movements approaching Tunnel 41's west portal just out of frame.
