About this cam
This live feed looks out from The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center over the Norfolk Southern tracks and the Roanoke Amtrak station platform in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. The hotel, built by the railroad in 1882, sits beside the city's historic rail corridor, within walking distance of the O. Winston Link Museum and the Virginia Museum of Transportation.
The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center runs its own "Roanoke Rail Cam" from an upper floor overlooking Norfolk Southern's tracks through downtown Roanoke and the adjacent Roanoke Amtrak station. The West camera faces toward the historic Norfolk & Western passenger station, now home to the O. Winston Link Museum, with the Virginia Museum of Transportation and its vintage locomotive collection a short distance away.
