A privately run test webcam overlooking TRA's North Hsinchu Station in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, where the electrified Western Trunk main line and the Neiwan/Liujia branch lines run past the sprawling Hsinchu Cargo Depot freight yard. The operator warns the feed is experimental and may be taken offline at any time.
North Hsinchu Station (北新竹車站) is an intermediate stop on Taiwan Railway's electrified Western Trunk Line, about 1.4 km north of the main Hsinchu Station, and it is also where the Neiwan Line (內灣線) and Liujia Line (六家線) branches run alongside the main line before diverging toward Hsinchu Station itself. The station is a simple elevated (跨站式站房) stop with two island platforms — one pair of tracks for the Western Trunk main line, one pair for the Neiwan/Liujia branch services.
Immediately outside platform 2, the fan of sidings visible in this camera's frame is TRA's Hsinchu Cargo Depot (新竹貨運站) — historically also the point where a former fuel-depot siding (油庫線) branched off the main line, reflecting the area's long role as a freight hub for the city.
The camera itself is run privately and unofficially. Its operator states in the stream description that the installation is a test and "may be closed at any time," and explains that at night the feed is deliberately kept in full colour with boosted exposure rather than switching to an infrared/monochrome mode, so the track layout stays visible after dark.
