About this cam

RailStream's free Ludlow, Kentucky railcam, run with the Ludlow Historic Society, looks over Norfolk Southern's main line at Ludlow. RailStream sums it up as "The Rathole – Watch NS climb the grade" and announces approximately 25+ trains a day.

The Ludlow railcam is one of RailStream's complimentary cameras, free to watch with ads and no login. RailStream's camera page credits the Ludlow Historic Society as partner, and the Ludlow Heritage Museum links to the stream from its own site as its "Live Train Stream". RailStream lists Norfolk Southern as the railroad, with "approx 25+ trains per day".

The Ludlow Heritage Museum says it has partnered with Norfolk Southern to save the Railyard Storehouse, an 1889-92 "Offices and Stores" building that is the only 19th-century structure left in Ludlow from the construction of the Cincinnati Southern and the Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific railroads. The camera looks down on a double-track main line under a signal bridge, with a red caboose on a lot in the foreground and a steel truss bridge in the distance.

What to watch for

Norfolk Southern freight on the former Cincinnati Southern line — RailStream's pitch is "The Rathole – Watch NS climb the grade", with "approx 25+ trains per day". Watch the signal bridge over the double track, and the red caboose parked below the camera.
