Holiday Junction featuring the Duke Energy Holiday Trains — Cincinnati Museum Center

Holiday Junction is Cincinnati Museum Center's signature holiday experience, held in Union Terminal. It is built around the Duke Energy Holiday Trains, which the museum says have been a Cincinnati holiday staple for eight decades, since they first appeared downtown in 1946.

The museum describes track-level views of an intricate display in which many rail cars and locomotives pass a miniature metropolis, with details such as cars sitting in snow up to their hubcaps and trees strapped to their roofs. Its description of the exhibit also mentions a Northern Lights display near the entrance, an interactive storybook on the history of the trains, a holiday scavenger hunt among the hidden objects of a garden railway layout, and a visit with Santa.

The museum has also screened a train-themed film in its OMNIMAX theater during the exhibit.
