Rockdale, Texas — Depot Museum PTZ

This live PTZ camera is part of the SouthWest RailCams network, hosted by the Rockdale TX Depot Museum (https://www.rockdaledepotmuseum.org), a restored 1906 International & Great Northern railroad depot that also serves as a weekend visitor center, open Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 1pm-4pm.

The camera overlooks Union Pacific's Austin Subdivision at milepost 119.25, where the operator notes freight trains run primarily northbound with a timetable maximum speed of 60 mph. An integrated radio feed carries the UP Austin Subdivision road channels (160.740 MHz and 160.839 MHz) and the BNSF Galveston Subdivision channel (161.415 MHz); a defect detector at milepost 119.7 gives a verbal transmission on entry and when a defect is found.
