Hammond, Kansas — PTZ Camera

Hammond is a small rural community in southeast Kansas on BNSF's Fort Scott Subdivision, the primary gateway for BNSF traffic moving southeast from the western United States toward Springfield, Missouri and on to Tulsa, Oklahoma. The camera sits roughly halfway along the subdivision between Kansas City's Murray Yard and Springfield, at milepost 91.7.

MOKAN Railcams operates the camera on a Starlink satellite internet connection and notes that the video and audio may briefly cut out during severe weather or while the camera pans between directions. The operator estimates 10 to 25 trains a day through Hammond, depending on traffic, including coal, manifest, vehicle and unit trains.
