The operator counts roughly 40 trains a day here: BNSF manifests, intermodals and locals, Union Pacific movements, and Watco's Kansas & Oklahoma and South Kansas & Oklahoma short lines, all on track owned by the Wichita Terminal Association and dispatched by BNSF.
Virtual Railfan's Wichita camera is a PTZ unit hosted by the Great Plains Transportation Museum, at milepost 212.3 near Douglas Avenue on the east edge of downtown. The line below it is BNSF's Arkansas City Subdivision, the former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe route between Newton, Kansas and Arkansas City, Kansas. The rail itself belongs to the Wichita Terminal Association and is dispatched by BNSF, and this is one of those places where the compass and the employee timetable disagree: the operator notes the tracks "run compass north-south but are timetable east-west", with a maximum speed of 30 mph.
Four railroads share that track. Virtual Railfan's own count is "approximately 40 daily trains, including BNSF freight (manifest, intermodal, and locals), Union Pacific operations, and Watco's Kansas & Oklahoma (K&O) and South Kansas & Oklahoma (SKOL) railroads". The geography either side of the camera explains the variety: the BNSF Wichita Yard and the UP Cline and Wichita Yards are three miles north, while South Junction, one mile south, connects to Union Pacific's Enid Subdivision.
The host is worth a look in its own right. The Great Plains Transportation Museum "preserves Wichita's rail heritage with exhibits like Santa Fe steam locomotive #3768 and FP45 diesel #93, representing the last passenger locomotives built for the Santa Fe". The museum publishes its own address as 700 East Douglas, Wichita, KS 67202 and opens Saturdays 9 AM – 4 PM, closing for inclement weather.

BNSF handles the bulk of it — manifests, intermodals and locals on the Arkansas City Subdivision — while Union Pacific movements and Watco's two Kansas short lines, the Kansas & Oklahoma (K&O) and the South Kansas & Oklahoma (SKOL), work the same rails. Trains are limited to 30 mph past the museum, so reporting marks and power are readable rather than a blur. Watch the two ends: three miles north sit BNSF's Wichita Yard and UP's Cline and Wichita Yards, so power moves and transfers come from that direction; one mile south is South Junction, where the connection to Union Pacific's Enid Subdivision takes traffic away.
