Mount Washington, New Hampshire — Cog Railway Track Cam

The camera looks up the Mount Washington Cog Railway's rack-and-pinion track toward the summit of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, in the operator's own words: "A view looking up the Cog Railroad tracks towards the summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire, provided by the Mount Washington Observatory."

The camera is maintained by the Mount Washington Observatory, the member-supported nonprofit that has staffed a weather station on the summit since 1932, and is sponsored by Lakeside Security, Gordini Gloves and Tuckerman Brewing Company. The Observatory notes that "the remote location of some cameras and the extreme weather in our region may mean that the view from any one of our cameras will be obstructed by ice on occasion."

The operator does not publish the camera's exact position or a map link -- only that it looks up the tracks toward the summit -- so the stored coordinates should be treated as approximate.
