A live view of the boarding platform at Seashore Trolley Museum, where the New England Electric Railway Historical Society runs vintage streetcars along its demonstration line in Kennebunkport, Maine.
The Seashore Trolley Museum, operated by the New England Electric Railway Historical Society, is one of the oldest and largest electric railway museums in the world. This camera looks over the museum's Trolley Boarding Platform at the Visitor Center, where restored streetcars depart for rides along the museum's own demonstration track through the woods of Kennebunkport, Maine.
During the operating season — June 1 through October 25, Wednesday through Sunday (plus the first two weekends of December) — trolleys depart the platform on a set schedule: 9:45, 10:30, 11:15, 12:00, 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, 3:00 and 3:45. The museum is open rain or shine from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with last tickets sold at 3:45 p.m.
What to watch for
Watch for a restored streetcar pulling up to the platform at one of the scheduled departure times. The museum operates historic trolleys and interurban cars from its own collection, one of the largest of its kind.
