BNSF freight traffic here is heavy — intermodal, manifest, automotive and occasional unit trains, with the operator estimating 60 to 80 trains a day — and the line remains an active Amtrak stop: the Southwest Chief (trains #3 and #4) calls at Kingman on its run between Los Angeles and Chicago.
