Seaton Tramway, Devon — Riverside Halt

The Seaton Tramway is unlike anything else in Britain: the operator describes it as "a 2 ft 9 in (838 mm) narrow gauge electric tramway" whose "3-mile (4.8 km) route runs through East Devon's Axe Valley, between the coastal resort of Seaton, the village of Colyford, and the ancient town of Colyton". What makes it a railway story rather than a tramway one is the trackbed: the operator states that it "operates over part of the former Seaton Branch Line, which closed in March 1966". The trams are scaled-down replicas of British street tramcars, running on overhead wire beside the Axe estuary — a bird reserve, which is why the tramway markets birdwatching trips. The operator states of the first of these cameras: "Seaton was our very first dedicated tramway camera, LIVE from Riverside Halt at the Seaton Tramway." Railcam adds that Seaton "was our very first dedicated tramway camera".
