About this cam
A rooftop view over the JR Sōbu Line at Motoyawata, in Ichikawa, Chiba. The camera looks along the tracks and catenary from the north side of the station, with the town packed either side of the cutting.
This camera looks down on the JR Sōbu Line where it runs through Motoyawata, in Ichikawa, Chiba prefecture. The view is taken from height on the north side of the station, so the tracks, the overhead line masts and the platform ends fill the frame with the town rising on both sides.
The operator is the Chiba Prefecture Taxi Association, Keiyō Branch — an unlikely camera owner, and worth naming for that reason: several of their other streams point at taxi ranks, but this one is aimed squarely at the railway.
What to watch for
A steady procession of commuter EMUs on one of Tokyo's busiest suburban trunk routes, framed between the shopfronts of Motoyawata. The camera has been on air without a break since March 2026.
