Fuefuki, Yamanashi — Chūō Main Line, Kumano Gongen Crossing

This is the third of three fixed cameras run by the same operator along JR East's Chūō Main Line in Fuefuki, Yamanashi — all three face east-northeast from the up-line side. This one sits at the Kumano Gongen crossing (熊野権現踏切, crossing No. 82), at kilometre post 124K254M, roughly 860 m from Kasugai-chō Station and 2,000 m from Isawa Onsen Station.

The operator states that limited express trains ("Azusa" and "Kaiji," about 1 hour 20 minutes from Shinjuku), local and freight trains all pass here. A signal beside the crossing marks a block-section boundary, and a flashing warning signal mounted beneath it (特殊信号発光機) triggers an emergency stop if the crossing's laser obstacle sensor detects a hazard.

The surrounding countryside grows peaches and grapes, near the Katsunuma wine district. The operator keeps the microphone deliberately very quiet at the landowner's request, following a 2023 dispute over recorded conversations — audio is present but faint, and may be muted without notice to protect passers-by privacy.

Named JR East limited expresses "Azusa" and "Kaiji," plus local and freight trains, on the Chūō Main Line's up line; the sound of the rail joints (kept very quiet by the operator's own choice); the flashing emergency-stop signal mounted under the block signal beside the crossing; crossing lights that the operator says may go dark between 1:30 and 4:30 a.m.
