About this cam
Hochschwarzwald Tourismus streams a live camera from near the Hofgut Sternen at Breitnau in the Black Forest, in the Höllental. Its view is filled by the stone arches of the Ravenna Viaduct, which carries the Höllentalbahn across the Ravenna Gorge.
The tourist office's page "Webcam in der Ravennaschlucht" presents the camera as a source of current images from the Höllental near Breitnau, for weather information before a hike in the Ravenna Gorge or a visit to the historic Hofgut Sternen. The stream player is titled "Breitnau • Hotel Hofgut Sternen" and carries the Hochschwarzwald logo.
The arches in the frame are those of the Ravenna Viaduct, a 224-metre, nine-arch stone viaduct, 36 metres high, of the Höllentalbahn, opened on 14 December 1927, about a hundred metres from the Hofgut Sternen. Trains cross the top of the arches.
