About this cam
Kami Town in Hyogo Prefecture streams a live camera on the Amarube Bridge, the viaduct that carries the San'in Main Line above the village of Amarube, with the Sea of Japan beyond. The town lists it as one of its four official live cameras.
The town's "Live camera" page names this camera 余部橋梁 (Amarube Bridge). In the view checked, a single ballasted track runs along the concrete viaduct toward a tunnel at the top right, with a glass-sided walkway beside it, a red steel pier on the right, the village's roofs below on the left and the sea beyond. OpenStreetMap places the "Sora-no-Eki" old-bridge viewing platform on this structure.
The town's other live cameras let visitors steer the angle; the Amarube Bridge camera is marked as excluded from angle control. The town also warns that the cameras stand in high or steep places, so rain, snow, condensation inside the camera and water drops on the lens can blur the picture.
What to watch for
Trains crossing the viaduct toward the tunnel at the top right of the view, with the sea behind. No train was in the frame when it was checked, and the town says weather and lens condensation can blur the image.
