About this event
The Chemin de Fer à Vapeur des 3 Vallées (CFV3V) is a heritage steam railway and museum based at Mariembourg, in the Belgian province of Namur. It runs a Train du Père Noël. The operator describes a real steam train that leaves Mariembourg for Treignes, with sweets handed out throughout the journey and Santa himself meeting visitors.
At Treignes passengers visit the museum and have a souvenir photo with Santa. On site the operator lists entertainment for all ages: Santa and his mascots, crafts, face painting, brass bands and a Lumiclown, among other surprises. Hot spots at Mariembourg and Treignes sell hamburgers, croque-monsieur, onion soup, cougnous, hot waffles, mulled wine and hot chocolate, and tartiflette is sold only at Treignes.
The operator says the steam train and the tourist site are accessible to people with reduced mobility, while noting that not all of its trains are.
