About this event

The Intermountain Train Expo is a November model railroad show organized by the Northern Utah Division of the National Model Railroad Association. The organizer's site calls it an annual Utah model railroading tradition and notes that the show has been held at several venues along the Wasatch Front over the years. This season it is at the Western Sports Park in Farmington, north of Salt Lake City.

The organizer calls it a hands-on model railroad show, with modular layouts from Utah model railroad clubs, vendors and exhibitors.

The division's site also promotes its "pizza box" layout builds, where visitors can learn to build a small layout of their own.
