Pumpkin Train — Heber Valley Railroad

The Heber Valley Railroad in Heber City, Utah, calls its Pumpkin Train a fun annual event for kids. The ticket includes a short, 40-minute train ride on which the railroad's hosts entertain the passengers, a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie served on board, and a pumpkin chosen from the railroad's Pumpkin Patch to take home.

The operator says more food and snacks are on sale at the depot. General Admission passengers ride in the railroad's standard historic coaches, and an infant ticket covers children aged one and under who sit on a lap; both include the pumpkin and the cookie.

Seats are assigned. A party that wants to sit beside another party that bought tickets on a separate order must call the railroad at least 24 hours before departure. The railroad runs several departures through the day on its Pumpkin Train Saturdays.
