About this event

The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway runs its Halloween Train as an evening outing for the whole family, departing the Nelsonville Depot in Nelsonville, Ohio. The train travels up the historic Hocking Valley line to Haydenville and then on to Robbins Crossing, where everyone is encouraged to get off and visit a lighted and decorated village with multiple seasonal activities.

Once the train returns to the Nelsonville Depot, treats are available for the kids. The operator adds that a Hocking Valley Halloween Train is not complete without a walk through the Haunted Train Car. Costumes are highly recommended for everyone, as long as they are appropriate for all ages.

What to expect

An evening ride of approximately two hours up the Hocking Valley line to Robbins Crossing, with time to get off and visit the lighted and decorated village and its seasonal activities. Back at the depot, treats are available for the kids and a Haunted Train Car can be walked through. All ages are welcome and costumes are highly recommended.
