Ride the Christmas Train — Illawarra Light Railway Museum

The Illawarra Light Railway Museum Society runs a light railway museum at Albion Park Rail, on the Illawarra coast of New South Wales. On its Christmas day the operator invites visitors to ride the Christmas Train and then the Mini Elf Express "into a Christmas wonderland", and to catch up with Santa and Mrs Claus.

The operator's event listing adds food sales, a disco, picnic shelters, playgrounds, locomotive shed tours and the museum itself. On its normal open days the museum offers rides on trains hauled by a heritage steam or diesel locomotive, rides in heritage passenger cars and a ride on the miniature train.

The museum has held a Christmas Train day in earlier seasons, billed as a way to celebrate Christmas in style. It is run by the museum society and is a single-day event.
