About this event

The Lansing Model Train Show and Sale is run by the Lansing Model Railroad Club, an HO scale model railroad club and non-profit educational organization based in the former Grand Trunk Western Millett depot. The club bills the show as Michigan's largest model railroad show.

Visitors see trains of many different sizes running on several layouts, and can shop for new and pre-owned models, toy trains, Thomas the Tank Engine toys, railroad memorabilia, books, DVDs and collectibles. The club says local National Model Railroad Association Division 5 experts run how-to sessions on building a model railroad.

The show is held at the Farm Bureau Pavilion at Michigan State University, which the club describes as the same place as always, just a new name. Dealers reserve tables through the club, whose train show pages carry the dealer and parking information.
