About this event

Sky Railway runs Pablo's Holiday Express from the Lamy Depot, in Lamy, New Mexico, on the historic rail line that links Lamy with Santa Fe. The operator says the depot becomes a winter wonderland for the season: families arrive early for hot cocoa and story time with Mrs. Claus, who tells how Santa and Pablito the dragon saved Christmas in New Mexico, then board for a round trip of about an hour across the New Mexico desert.

The operator lists live music, holiday sing-alongs, a Christmas bell presented by Mrs. Claus and a seat in an interior train car with access to the shared open-air flatbed car. Additional snacks and holiday drinks are sold, and after the ride families can visit Santa for photos and may meet Pablito himself. The train departs from and returns to the Lamy Depot.

The operator presents it as a Christmas train for all families, and says all Pablo’s Holiday Express trains depart and return to the Lamy Depot, whereas its other trains usually leave from the Santa Fe Depot.

What to expect

Story time with Mrs. Claus and complimentary hot cocoa in the holiday village, then a round trip of about an hour with live music and holiday sing-alongs. A jingle bell is given as a keepsake. After the ride, families can have photos taken with Santa and may meet Pablito the dragon. A Naughty and Nice drink list and extra snacks are sold.
